SMA Belles Legacy Society

St. Mary's Academy (SMA) is one of the oldest Catholic High Schools in Los Angeles County with a distinguished history of educating young women that become leaders in business, government, and the nonprofit sectors.

SMA Belles have generously invested in the mission of St. Mary's Academy with a future gift made through their estate. Future gifts (also known as planned gifts) can include:

● Bequests ● Charitable lead or charitable remainder trusts ● IRA or other retirement plans ● Life insurance ● Real estate or tangible property ● Personal property Gift Annuities

Bequests and other planned gifts help secure SMA's financial sustainability, enabling us to educate minds and hearts of young women for Christ for years to come. Some of the benefits of planned giving include making a gift that:

  • Does not interrupt current cash flow, or portfolio
  • Reduce gift and estate taxes

Every donor that makes an estate gift to St. Mary's Academy automatically becomes a member of our SMA Belles Legacy Society. As a member of our SMA Belles Legacy Society, we will commit to demonstrating the impact of your future gift and the following recognition benefits:

  • Lifetime and posthumous membership in the SMA Belles Legacy Society
  • Annual recognition in print and digital giving reports
  • ECHO magazine feature profile: I AM SMA
  • Naming Opportunities for gifts of $250,000 or more
  • Invitation-Annual Special Event Recognizing Legacy Society Members
